KnoxCircuit Records - Terms of Service



The Knox County Circuit Court Clerk offers online access to court records filed since April 1, 2015 through paid subscriptions that can be obtained from the clerk’s office.


The clerk’s office strives to operate a comprehensive electronic content management system which includes complete records. However, it does not guarantee that every filing accepted by the clerk’s office since April 1, 2015 has been scanned into the system and is available on this site.


Also no filings that have been sealed by a circuit court judge and NO RECORDS PERTAINING TO ADOPTION PROCEEDINGS can be accessed.


The records available for viewing here have been redacted in accordance with the applicable state law (T.C.A. 47-18-2101).


While the Knox County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office has made a reasonable effort to ensure that the filings contained here are complete, accurate and filed in a timely manner the clerk’s office and its employees are not responsible for data that is misinterpreted or altered in any way.


Although these records have been processed on a Knox County computer no warranty expressed or implied is made regarding the utility of the data on any other system, nor shall the act of distribution constitute any such warrant.


The Knox County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office and its employees make no representation or warranty, express or implied including without limitation any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or warranties as to the identity or ownership of data or information, the quality, accuracy or completeness of data or information, or that the use of such data or information will not infringe any patent, intellectual property or proprietary rights of any party.


Further, the Knox County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office makes no waiver of sovereign immunity nor any other defenses accorded public entities in Tennessee.


The Knox County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office shall not be liable for any claim for any loss, harm, illness or other damage or injury arising from access to or use of data or information, including without limitation any direct, indirect, incidental, exemplary, special or consequential damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.


These documents are offered online to increase public access to court records by making them available at all times. The subscription fees cover only the costs of developing and maintaining the circuit court clerk’s electronic content management system. The Knox County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office is supported by fees paid by court users.


PAPER COPIES OF ALL COURT RECORDS – AS ALWAYS – ARE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW AT THE CIRCUIT COURT CLERK’S OFFICE DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS AT NO CHARGE.
